Agreement in principle with Peter Leeuwenburgh

Apollon Football (Public) Ltd, announces the agreement in principle with goalkeeper Peter Leeuwenburgh until May 2025.

Peter was born in March 1994 and plays as a goalkeeper.

The 29-year-old started his career in Ajax’s youth teams where he remained until 2018 but never played for the Men’s team. In the 2015-2016 season he played for Dordrecht on loan.

In 2018 he left as a free agent for the South African league to play for Cape Town City with whom he made 80 appearances in three years.

In 2021 he returned to his home country for Hroningen with whom he played 42 times in the A-League.

The player played in all age groups of the Dutch national team except for the Men’s national team and celebrated winning the Euro U17 in 2011.

Peter Leeuwenburgh is expected in Cyprus in the coming days to undergo medical examinations and the deal will be confirmed.
