Apollon and Stoiximan supports Red Cross

Following our actions ahead of the Easter celebrations, in collaboration with our team’s main sponsor Stoiximan, Apollon undertook a social responsibility gesture by making a donation to the Red Cross Organization in order to help the vulnerable groups of our city’s population.

Our team and Stoiximan’s representatives visited the Red Cross Limassol Branch on Monday morning (26/4) and handed over a €5,000 cheque to its president, Mrs. Niki Hadjitsagari, with the purpose of supporting the Red Cross’s efforts to buy food and essential supplies ahead of the great feast of Christianity.

After thanking the Red Cross for the amazing work they have been doing all these years for our city, Apollon Limassol’s Marketing Manager, Mrs Koulla Stavrinidou, pledged that Apollon Limassol F.C will stand as a supporter and ally of the Red Cross’ charity work.

“We would be remiss if we failed to thank our direct partner, Stoiximan, for their immediate response to our call.

On behalf of the Cyprus Red Cross Limassol Branch, its President, Mrs. Niki Hadjitsagari, thanked the Apollon Football Company and the team’s sponsor Stoiximan for the great help they offered to the organization during these difficult times we are going through as a society. This donation will support the Easter Love Packs that we will be offering to 500 vulnerable families in our city.

From his side, Stoiximan’s Manager, Mr. Angelos Hontoulidis referred to the long-standing work of the company he stands for;

” Nowadays, as we are making the latest effort to overcome the COVID 19 pandemic, Stoiximan stands, as we have been doing for years, on the side of the local community of Cyprus and especially Limassol, offering assistance to the Limassol branch of the Red Cross through its sponsorship partnership with Apollon Limassol F.C.

It is in Stoiximan’s core values to give back to the local community and through our extensive corporate social responsibility programme, we stand by charities and proudly support their valuable work.”

We hope that we will soon move on from the difficult situation we have all found ourselves in and return to normality, giving everyone the opportunity to reflect on what the real meaning and true values of life are.
