With an outstanding performance full of desire and fighting spirit, we defeated Omonia 2\u20130 in the derby of Matchday 11 of the Cyprus League by Stoiximan at the Alfamega Stadium. Despite playing with ten men from the 53rd minute, we showed character, defended bravely and earned a huge victory.<\/p>\n
We started the match with confidence and took the lead in the 18th minute when Gary Rodrigues unleashed a thunderous strike from outside the box, sending the ball into Fabiano\u2019s top corner for 1\u20130. Omonia hit the post early and threatened again at 41\u2019, but Koon denied them with an excellent save.<\/p>\n
Early in the second half, we were reduced to ten men after Dodo received a second yellow card \u2014 a decision our bench protested strongly.<\/p>\n
Even so, we found the moment that sealed the match. In the 74th minute, Kvida produced a stunning solo goal, carrying the ball from midfield, beating defenders and finishing with a powerful left-footed shot for 2\u20130.<\/p>\n
Omonia pushed forward, but we stayed compact, with Koon, Ljubic and the entire defensive unit protecting our lead until the final whistle.<\/p>\n
