Apollon Football (Public) Ltd, announces the completion of its cooperation with the footballer Valentin Roberge.<\/p>\n
The Apollon family would like to thank Valentin for his valuable and long-lasting contribution to our team with whom he played in 220 matches in all competitions, winning one championship, one Cyprus Cup, three Super Cups and celebrating with the club three times to the UEFA group stage participation.<\/p>\n
The French defender joined Apollon in the summer of 2016 from English side Sunderland and was destined to become one of the most crucial players in the club’s modern history.<\/p>\n
He wore the club’s jersey 166 times in the championship, 17 in the cup, three in the Super Cup and 34 in European competitions becoming the sixth player in European appearances in the ranking.<\/p>\n
Valentin won everyone in the Apollon structure from day one with his personality, confidence and individuality. His leadership skills and football quality were evident from the very first moment and he is rightly considered as one of the top foreigners to have played for Apollon.<\/p>\n
He scored six goals in all competitions with the club, but what stood out was his confidence in his movements, the security he provided to those around him and his leadership personality.<\/p>\n
His name is inextricably intertwined with the club’s successes in recent years and is an icon for Apollon.<\/p>\n
