{"id":93465,"date":"2024-12-05T16:44:35","date_gmt":"2024-12-05T14:44:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.apollon.com.cy\/?p=93465"},"modified":"2024-12-05T16:44:35","modified_gmt":"2024-12-05T14:44:35","slug":"announcement-from-the-board-of-directors-of-apollon-limassol","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.apollon.com.cy\/en\/announcement-from-the-board-of-directors-of-apollon-limassol\/","title":{"rendered":"Announcement from the Board of Directors of Apollon Limassol"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Board of Directors of Apollon Football Company (Public) Ltd condemns unequivocally and in the strongest possible terms the unacceptable and shameful events that took place after the end of our team&#8217;s game yesterday, where we secured qualification to the quarter-finals of the Cup.<\/p>\n<p>Events and behaviour, which, apart from the fact that they insult the history of our Team, were directed against people who have been fighting for this team for years, without considering financial or other costs.<\/p>\n<p>This behavior, we want everyone to understand, is not acceptable, nor tolerated under any circumstances.<\/p>\n<p>Terrorism and bullying, intimidation and threats, against players, their families, their children, members of the football team and the Board of Directors are cowardly acts, coming, fortunately, from a very small group of individuals who want to be called our fans and whose behaviour offends us all.<\/p>\n<p>It is truly unthinkable that a football result, successful or not, should give some people the right to make intimidation and threats that do not concern us.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to calling on all right-thinking fans of our Team to protect in every way possible the effort that is being made this year to build a competitive team and successfully fulfill our goals, the Board of Directors expresses its displeasure at the direction that some wish to take things to destabilize the Apollon family and declares that this effort will not succeed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Board of Directors of Apollon Football Company (Public) Ltd condemns unequivocally and in the strongest possible terms the unacceptable and shameful events that took place after the end of our team&#8217;s game yesterday, where we secured qualification to the quarter-finals of the Cup.
