Apollon Football (Public) Ltd, announces the agreement in principle with Hungarian international football player Kevin Varga until May 2024 with the option of renewal for two more seasons.
Kevin was born in Hungary in March 1996 and plays on the left wing.
He started his career in Debrecen’s academy and in 2015 he made his official professional debut for Balmazújváros FC where he played for one and a half seasons on loan, making a total of 19 appearances and scoring three goals. He spent the rest of the 2016/2017 season at Cigánd SE where he made eight appearances.
Afterwards, in the summer of 2017, he returned to Debrecen with whom he played until August 2020, making 113 appearances before being transferred to Turkish side Kasimpasa where he played for a season and a half, completing 55 appearances. In February 2022 he went on loan to Swiss side Young Boys with whom he played six games.
In the summer of 2022 he joined Hatayspor as a free agent with whom he played for half a season making 12 appearances. The second half of the 2022-2023 season found him at the club he was promoted to, Debrecen, with whom he added a further 13 appearances and two goals.
In June 2018, the player played for the first time with the Hungarian Men’s national team, with whom he made a total of 14 appearances and scored one goal.
The player will go through the medical examination process and after that the deal will be finalized.
