Agreement in principle with Recio

Apollon FC announces the agreement in principle with the Spanish footballer Jose Luis Garcia del Pozo, Recio (11/01/1991) until the 2023-2024 season.

The 31-year-old midfielder was born in January 1991 in Malaga. Recio started his career in the Málaga’s youth academy where he made his professional debut in 2010.

In January 2013 the footballer played on loan at Granada for a season and a half and participated in 47 matches scoring four goals.

The footballer then returned to Málaga where he stayed until 2018 and made a total of 152 appearances, scoring ten goals in both of his spells in blue and white.

Recio was then transferred to Leganes where he played for three seasons (2018-2020 and 2021-2022) registering 68 appearances and one goal while in the interim (2020-21) he played on loan at Eibar recording 20 appearances and one goal.

The experienced midfielder played for only four teams in a 12-year career, making 242 appearances in La Liga and 23 in La Liga 2 while also captaining Malaga and Leganes.

The footballer will go through the medical examination process and the agreement will be finalized.
