Apollon Limassol in EFDN Webinar

The marketing department of Apollon FC (Public) Ltd participated in a webinar of EFDN (European Football for Development Network) during which, it presented its plan and actions regarding the “Welcome through Football” program.

On the 10th and 11th of March an online meeting was held between AEK FC, KAA Gent Foundation, Sheffield United Football Club, SV Werder Bremen, FC Shakhtar Donetsk, Everton Football Club, FC Emmen, Big Hearts Community Trust, Newcastle United Foundation and our team , with the aim of exchanging ideas and creating a strategy for the next actions regarding the program.

The representatives  of our team analyzed and explained the way in which they acted during the previous year when the team participated in the program, so that it could carry out its mission.

“Welcome Through Football” is supported by the UEFA Foundation and the European Union and will last until June 2022. The methodology of the program which consists of three parts aims to adapt refugees aged 6-25 years to society through football.

The participation of Apollon Limassol in the program is a very important and honorable distinction as it is recognized internationally for the great social work it offers to our challenging society.
