Emanuel Aiwu joins Apollon

Apollon Football (Public) Ltd is pleased to announce the signing of Emanuel Aiwu from SK Sturm Graz. The Austrian defender has signed a contract with the club until May 2029.

The Austrian central defender was born on 25 December 2000 and brings valuable experience from the Austrian, Italian and English leagues.

Aiwu began his professional career with Admira Wacker before going on to represent Rapid Vienna, Cremonese, Birmingham City and Sturm Graz.

During the last two seasons, he played for Sturm Graz, helping the club win the Austrian Bundesliga title in the 2024-2025 season. He also gained valuable experience in European competitions, making 26 appearances across the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League. Overall, he made 63 appearances in all competitions for Sturm Graz during the 2024-2026 period.

Aiwu represented Austria at every youth international level from Under-18 to Under-21, earning a total of 23 caps and scoring three goals.
