Iké Ugbo joins Apollon on loan

Apollon Football (Public) Ltd is pleased to announce an agreement with Sheffield Wednesday for the signing of Iké Ugbo on loan until the end of the 2026-2027 season.

The 27-year-old Canadian international striker was born in London and developed through Chelsea’s Academy, where he won two UEFA Youth League titles, two FA Youth Cups and one U18 Premier League title.

During his professional career, Ugbo has represented Chelsea, Barnsley, Milton Keynes Dons, Scunthorpe United, Roda JC, Cercle Brugge, Genk, Troyes, Cardiff City and Sheffield Wednesday, making more than 338 appearances and scoring 86 goals at club level.

At international level, he has earned nine caps for the Canada national team and was included in Canada’s squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
