International round up (September 2022)

The international obligations of our footballers for September have been completed.

In total, five Apollon footballers were with the national teams of their countries in the previous week, however, four of them got playing time.

Valentin Roberge made his international debut with the jersey of the Cyprus national team against the Greece, while against Kosovo he also scored his first goal! He played in both matches for 90 minutes.

Charalambos Kyriakou also played in both matches, however in the one against Kosovo he was substituted at half-time.

Dimitris Dimitriou remained on the bench of the Cyprus national team.

Ido Shahar made two appearances with the Israeli Youth U-21 national team in the Playoffs of the U-21 European Championship against Ireland. The neighboring country advanced to the final stage of the competition through the penalty shootout after the two draws in Israel and Ireland. Our footballer played the entire 90 minutes in the first match and 63 minutes in the second.

Finally, Giorgos Pontikos, who was included in the Cyprus Youth U-21 national team, played a half-time against the corresponding Maltese national team.
