We started 2025 on the right foot, defeating AEL 0-1 in the Limassol derby. With these three points, we distanced ourselves from the teams competing for a spot in the top six of the league standings.

The only goal of the match was scored by our captain, Hambos Kyriacou, in the 55th minute, marking his first goal after 613 days. This was our second consecutive victory under the guidance of Sofronis Avgousti, keeping a clean sheet in the process.

With this win, we reached 24 points, solidifying our position in 6th place, closing the gap to Omonia (-5) and APOEL (-1), who both have a game in hand, while extending our lead over Anorthosis to three points.
