Match Report | APOLLON-AEK (1-1)

For Matchday 27 of the Cyprus League by Stoiximan, we faced AEK at the Alphamega Stadium, with the match ending in a 1-1 draw.

We started the game strongly, imposing our tempo from the opening minutes and creating consecutive chances. As early as the 2nd minute, Marques threatened with a shot inside the box. We continued to apply pressure, with Rodrigues and Thomas creating dangerous situations, but our inefficiency in the final third prevented us from taking the lead, despite our clear dominance in the first half.

In the second half, although we maintained our attacking approach, AEK managed to take the lead with their first real opportunity in the 56th minute, following a counter-attack. Our response was immediate, and in the 66th minute we brought the game level when Zmrhal delivered from the left and Brandon Thomas finished calmly inside the box.

In the closing stages, we kept pushing for a winning goal, maintaining possession and pressure, but we were unable to convert our superiority into a second goal.
