Match Report | Apollon – Pafos FC (0-2)

Apollon were eliminated from the Coca-Cola Cup after a 0-2 defeat to Pafos FC at the Alphamega Stadium, resulting in a 6-2 aggregate score over the two legs.

The visitors took the lead in the 59th minute through a Tanlongo header, putting them firmly in control of the tie. Things became even more difficult for our team as we were reduced to ten men in the second half following a second yellow card and subsequent red shown to Malekkides.

Pafos sealed the win with a second goal in the 89th minute, as Anderson finished off a quick counterattack to set the final score at 0-2.

Despite the Cup exit, Apollon now shifts its full focus back to the Cyprus League by Stoiximan. Our next match is against AEK Larnaca, scheduled for Monday at the AEK Arena, as part of Round 9 of the Championship Playoff phase.
