Match Report | APOLLON – PAFOS FC (2-1)

Our team secured an important home victory, defeating Pafos FC 2-1 at the ALPHAMEGA Stadium, in the context of Matchday 16 of the Cyprus League by Stoiximan.

We started the match strongly and took the lead early, as Pedro Marques found the net in the 6th minute following an excellent combination involving Kvinta and Malekkidis. We continued to create chances, however the visitors equalised in the 38th minute through Bruno.

Early in the second half, we were awarded a penalty and in the 52nd minute Garry Rodrigues converted from the spot to restore our advantage. Pafos FC increased their pressure after the 70th minute, but we managed the game well until the final whistle to claim a valuable victory.

With this result, we moved up to 27 points in the standings, while Hernán Losada recorded his second consecutive win on the bench.
