Match Report | ARIS-APOLLON (2-1)

Our team fell 2-1 to Aris in the away fixture for Matchday 5 of the Championship Round.

Apollon started the match with intensity and came close to opening the scoring in the 14th minute when Duodu struck the crossbar. The breakthrough came on the half-hour mark, when Kvinta delivered a pinpoint cross behind the defence and Duodu slotted it home to make it 0-1.

Aris equalised in the 43rd minute with a powerful shot from outside the box, and missed a penalty early in the second half (51’). Moments later, in the 56th minute, they found the net again to take the lead.

Despite our team’s efforts in the second half, we were unable to find the equaliser and left without points.
