Match Report | CUP | MEAP – APOLLON (1-5)

Our team secured qualification to the next round of the Coca-Cola Cup, following an emphatic 5–1 victory over MEAP Pera Chorio Nisou at the “Ammochostos” Stadium.

We started the match in strong fashion, taking the lead in the 8th minute when Morgan Brown scored his first official goal in Apollon colours. Just three minutes later (11’), Lazar Markovic doubled our advantage, giving us early control of the game. The hosts temporarily reduced the deficit in the 35th minute through Papouis, but shortly before the break (43’), Marques restored our two-goal cushion to make it 3–1 at halftime.

In the second half, we maintained full control and added two more goals through Duodu (64’) and Lam (70’), sealing our qualification with an impressive 5–1 win.

Notably, both Morgan Brown and Lazar Markovic scored their first goals for the club, while young Christos Papadopoulos made his official debut in Apollon colours.

Our next match is scheduled for Sunday, against AEK at the ALFAMEGA Stadium, for the Cyprus League by Stoiximan.
