Apollon suffered a 1-0 defeat against Nea Salamina at “Ammochostos” Stadium on Matchday 13 of the Cyprus League.

Despite several chances, including Drozdek’s disallowed goal (22′) and shots from Marques (30′) and Malekkidis (39’), Apollon failed to score in the first half. Nea Salamina took the lead in the 75th minute with a header from Bahassa. Apollon had two great chances to equalize with headers from Marques (82′) and Dorregaray (90′), but goalkeeper Melissas made crucial saves.
