Match Report | Omonoia Aradippou – Apollon (0-1)

We secured an important away victory at the Antonis Papadopoulos Stadium, defeating Omonia Aradippou 1-0 in the 20th round of the Cyprus League by Stoiximan.

We started the match with intensity and aimed to control the tempo from the early stages. In the 28th minute, Duodu won a penalty after being fouled by Kostic, with the referee confirming the decision following a VAR review. Brandon Thomas converted the penalty in the 34th minute to give us the lead. Shortly after, Bruno Gaspar found the net, but the goal was disallowed for offside.

In the second half, we managed the game effectively, maintained possession and limited our opponents’ attacking threat, keeping full control until the final whistle. Despite the lower tempo, we remained solid and secured our sixth consecutive league victory.

This result takes us to 39 points and up to third place in the standings.

Our next fixture is against Omonia Aradippou at the ALPHAMEGA Stadium on Wednesday, 4 February, for the quarter-final stage of the Cup.
