Our academy report (07/10/2023)

The teams of Apollon Limassol’s academy touched the maximum with their results on Saturday (07/10).

The overall result was four wins and one draw. In fact, the teams of the Youth Academy brought the ultimate for the second time in three rounds!

1-1 draw against Karmiotissa in the U-19 Cablenet Championship

The Youth team played out a 1-1 away draw at the Pano Polemidia Community Stadium against Karmiotissa.

The hosts opened the scoring through Zachariou at 13′ however Christos Balabanidis equalized at 77′ giving the team a point. Our team is in 5th place in the table with seven points. The next match is scheduled for Saturday (21/10) against Olympiacos at the Parekklisia Community Stadium.

The ultimate for the teams in the top division of the Youth League!

Our Children’s team made it four for four and they beat Olympiacos and collected 12 points in the aggregate standings, moving the team up to 1st place in the table.

A 3-0 victory for the U17s

A solid win 3-0 for the U17s over Olympiacos Nicosia at the Pyrgos Community Stadium. The goals were scored by Giorgos Demetriou (23′), Panagiotis Charalambous (39′) and Christos Papadopoulos (66′).

With this victory, the U17 team is in 4th place in the standings, tied with Omonia with six points.

Tight victory and 4th place for the U16 team

The U16 team scored their second victory in the championship by defeating the corresponding team of Olympiacos 2-1 at the Pyrgos stadium.

Georgios Hadjikonstantinou opened the scoring in the 12th minute with the visitors equalizing through Kitsios in the 26th minute. The last word in the match was “said” by Chrysostomos Ioakim in 70, forming the final score.

Three points and top spot for the U15 team

With Haralambos Hadjicharalambous scoring the “golden” goal in the 21st minute, the U15 team won 0-1 against Olympiacos at the Promahonas stadium in Nicosia.

With this victory the team climbed to the top with Pafos FC having nine points each.

Away turnaround with a four goals by Stamataris for the U14

With Pavlos Stamataris as the absolute star, the U14 team prevailed over Olympiacos in Promachonas with 2-4.

The 13-year-old striker opened the scoring in the 12th minute, but Epifaneiou scored twice in 26′ and 47′ to bring the score to 2-1.

However, the central forward was unstoppable in the second half and scored three more goals (54′, 65′ and 67′) to form the final score.

It should be noted that in total the U14 team scored five goals in this season’s championship and all of them have been scored by Pavlos Stamataris!
