Thank you Panagiotis and all the best!

Apollon Football Company (Public) Ltd has completed its collaboration with fitness coach Panagiotis Topalides.

The Greek was appointed as a fitness coach in November of 2020.

We appreciate Panagiotis for his service to the club and we wish him the best in his career and personal life.

Panagiotis Topalides says farewell to Apollon with a written statement at www.apollon.com on the occasion of the completion of our collaboration.

“My cooperation with Apollon began at the end of 2020 when Mr. Petrakis joined the team and I became a member of the technical staff.

Despite the end of Mr. Petrakis’ partnership with Apollon, I remained here, and I was quite pleased with the BoD choice.

We have worked well together throughout my time here, and I want to thank all of my colleagues and players for their support and cooperation over the last year and a half.

I am really happy to have been a member of the Apollo family, and I believe I have done my best in the tasks that have been allocated to me.

I did my best to help Apollon.

Aside from what I contributed to the team, I feel compelled to express my appreciation for the opportunity to work with such an outstanding club as Apollon. Being in such a big club teaches you a lot, gives you experiences, helps you develop as a professional, changes the way you approach and, in general, changes the way you behave since football is not a typical business. It is a job that requires quick understanding and response since you must frequently make an urgent choice for the welfare of the team. The more important the judgments that must be taken, the greater the club!

I had wonderful feelings as a result of great moments. I remember Benschop’s goal against Omonia last year as one of my best moments. We also had some difficult times that I won’t get into right now. They were, however, a lesson for everyone.

Without a question, this year’s title is the most significant success for everyone on the club as well as the team in recent years. We won the title after 16 years, and I expect to win many more in the coming years. Because this club is deserving of it.

I lived in Cyprus at a crazy time for all of humans, with the virus, lockdowns, and restrictions. Football, in particular, was quite weird last season, with empty and quiet stadiums, everyday tests, and several other demarcations.

However, from the quiet stadiums, we ended up with people and a great energy. It was a tremendous boost for Apollon. Their presence was great, and they undoubtedly aided us in reaching our objectives. When we were going through some difficult times, they were there to encourage us and help us achieve our goals.I watched fans supporting the squad with all their might, and I’d like to encourage them to keep up the same enthusiasm and devotion, even in the terrible times that will undoubtedly come again.

That’s when they truly need your support and encouragement to succeed!

I wish Apollo well and thank you for the time I spent here!”
