Apollon and Charis Mavrias reach an agreement
Apollon Football Public Ltd is delighted to announce that the club has reached an agreement with Charis Mavrias.
The Greek international plays as a right back, having registered 13 official appearances with the Greek National team, most recently in March of 2021.
Born on 21/02/1994, the 27-year-old defender began his footballing career at the Panathinaikos Academy and later on was established in the first team.
He was also the youngest player to ever play for Panathinaikos in a European competition game.
In the summer of 2013, Charis moved to England to sign a 4-year contract with Sunderland FC, however, he returned to Panathinaikos in 2015 as a loanee and later on joined Fortuna Dusseldorf, again on loan.
After his exit from Sunderland FC as a free agent in 2016, he played for Carlsruhe, Rijeka and Hibernian. In 2019, he joined local side Omonoia FC, where he made 52 appearances, scoring 3 goals in the process.
Apollon FC welcomes Charis Mavrias to Limassol and hopes that he will be able to celebrate many times while wearing the blue and white colors.
