Match Report | APOLLON-ETHNIKOS ACHNAS (1-0)

For the 23rd round of the Cyprus League by Stoiximan, we defeated Ethnikos Achnas 1-0 at the ALPHAMEGA Stadium, extending our winning run and climbing to second place with 48 points.

We started the match with intensity and controlled the tempo from early on, creating numerous chances. The visitors threatened only once in the 10th minute, but from that point we dominated. In the 22nd minute, Weissbeck hit the post, while Rodrigues and Marques also came close.

The decisive goal came in the 36th minute when Jaromir Zmrhal combined perfectly with Weissbeck and finished with a low strike to make it 1-0.

In the second half we maintained control and looked for a second goal. Marques came close on two occasions, while in the 88th minute Vrikis was denied in a one-on-one situation. Defensively we remained focused, with Kuhn making the necessary saves to secure the result.

This victory marked our ninth consecutive league win as we continue our strong run of form.
