Apollon suffered a 1-0 defeat against Omonia at the GSP Stadium, in a match where both teams made several changes to their usual starting line-ups, keeping in mind the crucial Cup semi-final return legs coming up midweek.

The only goal of the match came in the 57th minute. Semedo delivered a cross from the right and Evandro struck powerfully on the volley, sending the ball past Leuwenburgh and into the net to give the hosts all three points.

With this result, Omonia boosted their hopes of claiming third place in the league, while our team now shifts its focus entirely to the upcoming second leg of the Coca-Cola Cup semi-final.

Apollon will host Pafos FC on Tuesday, 7 May at the Alphamega Stadium, aiming to overturn the 4-2 first-leg deficit and secure a spot in the final scheduled for 24 May.
