Match Report | PAFOS – APOLLON (4-2)

Our team was defeated 4-2 in the first leg of the Coca-Cola Cup semifinal against Pafos FC at the “Stelios Kyriakides” Stadium.

In a match full of intensity, strong duels and many emotions, our players tried to respond after each Pafos goal, but were unable to secure a result that would provide an advantage ahead of the second leg.

The hosts opened the scoring in the 13th minute, but our team reacted immediately, with Sagal equalizing just two minutes later (15’) to make it 1-1. Pafos regained the lead shortly before halftime (42’).

In the second half, the home side added two more goals (59’ and 70’), while our team reduced the deficit in the 74th minute after an own goal by Sarlija, which made the final score 4-2.

The qualification remains open and will be decided in the return leg, scheduled for May 7th at the Alphamega Stadium.
