Anninos Nicolaou: “Learn, improve, reach the top”

Anninos Nicolaou is ready to begin a new chapter in his career, having signed his first professional contract with Apollon Limassol. After spells with clubs such as Karmiotissa, Aris Limassol, Ethnikos Achnas and Krasava, the young attacking midfielder sees this move as a great opportunity.

“Apollon is a historic club, and it’s different from the teams I’ve played for in the past. It’s also my team and I’m truly happy to be part of the Apollon family,” he says honestly.

His goals are clear: “My aim is to play with the first team. To develop as a footballer and to improve as much as possible.”

How does he feel at this moment? “I’m happy and I’m looking forward to the season starting, to see how things will go. I want to learn from my teammates. This is a big club, with great players, and I know I can learn a lot.”

His integration has already begun since January: “Since January, I’ve been part of Apollon’s U19 squad and I’ve also joined the first team training sessions again. I know what it means to be part of this club.”
